To increase security and user management, you can use Google G-Suite for identity and access management in designated Apps.
Before you start
Setting up G-Suite requires the below steps to be performed, using Google API-console administrator rights. In addition, you will need to set the correct bundle id for your Retail App. If you do not have these details, please contact Colleqtive to request your bundle id.
Only use this guide if you are a trained and certified Google API administrator. Colleqtive is not responsible for any issues in setting up your Google G-Suite or Google API environment.
Set up Google API-console
To Set up Google Application on the Google API-console, the following steps are required:
- Create new Project
- Enable Api's
- Set OAuth consent screen
- Create Credentials
Create a New project
- In your browser, open the Google API-console.
- Enter a project name and click: create.
Provide your Google admin credentials if you are not logged in yet.
Enable Api's :
After creating project, the project dashboard will appear.
- From the left Navigation menu, select Library under APIS and Services.
- Search for 'Admin SDK' ,
- Select 'Admin SDK' from the list and click: enable or switch the enable button to enable this api.
Set OAuth consent screen :
- From the left Navigation menu, select OAuth consent screen under APIS and Services.
- Click on Edit App
- Set Type of app to : Internal
- Add the following scopes:
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/admin.directory.user
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/admin.directory.user.readonly
To add a scope scroll down and click: Add Range button. Then, click on the ‘manually paste’ link in the bottom notification box, it will show input box. Enter the scope in input box and click To Add button. After adding scope click on TO ADD.
Create Credentials
- From the left Navigation menu, select Credentials under APIS and Services.
- Click on CREATE DATA button from top.
- Select Client ID OAuth, it will navigate to Create screen.
- In Type of app, select iOS.
- Enter your bundle id for ios: com.colleqtive.retailapp.<yourname> and click to create.
- Click on download icon to download files for the created id.
- Click on CREATE DATA button (top), select Api key and the Api key will be created.
Please send this information to Colleqtive so we can setup your Retail App accordingly.
